You can now go live on Evenings directly from your browser. Open your station, hit Go Live, pick a microphone or audio source, and you're broadcasting. No OBS, Audio Hijack, or streaming software required.

Under the hood, your audio is sent over a WebSocket connection to our media servers and joins the same pipeline as every other broadcast, so listeners hear the same high-quality stream whether you're streaming from a browser tab or a full studio rig.

Dedicated encoders are still fully supported; this is just the fastest way to get on air.

Evenings now accepts Icecast source connections alongside RTMP. If your setup speaks the Icecast source protocol (BUTT, Mixxx, darkice, or a hardware encoder), you can point it at Evenings and broadcast without an RTMP bridge in between.

This also lays the groundwork for the Evenings mobile broadcaster, which streams over the same protocol.

You can now export your published tracks to SoundCloud. Connect your SoundCloud account, pick a published track, and Evenings sends it over with its title and artwork; no downloading and re-uploading required.

Only published tracks can be exported, so your drafts and private recordings stay on Evenings.

A round of performance work across the site:

• The homepage loads noticeably faster, with images and analytics tuned to stay out of the way of what you came for.
• Navigating back to a page you've already visited is now instant.
• Under the hood, the site moved to the latest version of its framework, which speeds up everything else.

Evenings now has a blog. All of our guides, from streaming with OBS or Audio Hijack to scheduling prerecorded livestreams and using the API, moved there from the old docs site, and it's where longer-form updates and stories will live going forward.

Two improvements to how broadcasts look and feel:

• Cover track for live broadcasts: a live broadcast can now display cover art, so your station looks intentional while you're on air, not just after the recording is published.
• Infinite scroll: long lists of tracks now load more as you scroll instead of stopping at a fixed page.

You can now generate API keys directly from your account. Use them to build against the Evenings API: pull your tracks, embed players, or wire Evenings into your own site.
